HC Queens Den

Lynxkit tried to nip at Fallingpaw a couple of times before purring and pushing his back against his mother's stomach.

Fallingpaw took a closer look at Patchkit, and her heart lurched. The kit looked so much like her father... She shook her head, forcing anger down again. She nuzzled Linxkit and Patchkit, smiling. "Hi there..." She purred, giving them both another comforting lick. She looked at the other kits, purring. She had a family, a good family that was beyond her brother now. She felt a little bad for what she had told him, but he deserved it. You don't reject family like that. She continued to look at the kits gently, deciding she would talk to her brother later.

Patchkit let out an adorable mew and lifted up a paw when she bent down to lick him. His small paw touched her nose. He let out a mrrow of curiosity.

Fallingpaw giggled as the kit touched her nose, purring. She nuzzled the kits side, playing. "Hi little one..." She whispered.

Lynxkit began searching for something to hold, and his search brought him a little ways from his mother. His shaky steps had brought him to Fallingpaw's tail, which he began to gnaw on and claw as he lay atop it.

Fallingpaw turned her head around sharply, biting her tongue against crying out. She winced, smiling. "Ow..." She chirped. She turned around, keeping her tail still. She licked the kits head, putting her paw gently under his head trying to remove the kit from her tail.

Lynxkit lifted his head, though he didn't remove his claws. He held on tight, letting out one "Mrrrow...".

Fallingpaw sighed, removing her paw. She could deal with the pain, so she laid down with the kit near her head. She licked the kit, purring quietly. "I wonder what your name is..." She said.

The large kit began kneading Fallingpaw's tail, he purred and leaned against the apprentice.

Fallingpaw purred, rolling so her stomach was exposed to the kit. It was the warmest part of her body. She continued purring, looking at the kit.

Lynxkit attempted to drag Fallingpaw's tail with him as he stumbled closer to her and laid down, hugging her tail.

Fallingpaw purred, nuzzling the kit. She move her tail so the kit had it. She curled herself around the kit, starting to feel as though she was picking a favorite before even meeting all of her siblings.

Lynxkit began to gnaw on the tail again, but this time softer. As if he knew that it hurt.

Fallingpaw winced slightly, feeling it was gentler. She smiled, licking the kits head again.

The golden furred kit drifted off, his older sister's tail still in his grasp.

ShadowWhisper looked at Fallingpaw with gentleness and happiness in her eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you and Ignitingpaw I was having kits before time." She looked at her four kits with a smile on her face. "Lynxkit is the tawny one and Patchkit is the one that looks like your father--they are both toms. Hazelkit is the white kit with ginger patches and Leafkit is the multi-colored kit-- they are both she-cats."

The sound of rustling could be heard as Ignitingpaw poked his head in. He over heard what ShadowWhisper said and felt angry about it but he pushed it away as he walked in and sat in the entrance. He didn't show any joy anger or sadness as the tip of his tail twitched.

ShadowWhisper looked at Igntingpaw in confusion. "Ignitingpaw? What has gotten into you?" Why isn't he greeting them? That's very strange for an older brother. She looked at her step-son with a bit of disappointment.

Lynxkit lifted his head as he scented a new cat in the den. He stood and stumbled towards the scent, he tried to bring Fallingpaw's tail with him as he aproached his older brother. He ended up setting it down so he could get closer.

ShadowWhisper watched Lynxkit and Ignitingpaw intently. She waited to see his reaction. She was ready to do something if something went wrong.

Falling paw gently grabbed Lynxkit and put him back behind her as she stood up. "Make one aggressive move, and I'll protect our siblings with my life if necessary." She said with no emotion. She looked at her brother with wide eyes.

Ignitingpaw didn't answer his step mom, he could sense her intense stare and it some what hurt him to know that she would think he would hurt a kit. He watched the kit named Linxkit walk up to him, he froze and tensed up but before the kit got even close enough for the tom to bend and sniff Fallingpaw took the kit out of reach. Ignitingpaws dark green eyes looked up to stare Fallingpaw in the eye, a frown crossed his face as he shook his head, tearing his eyes away. "Its pretty hurtful that you guys would think I would hurt a kit. How low you guys think of me..." his voice was full of hurt but was also flat, "I wouldn't hurt them when there the only thing my father left, i don't swoop that low." He said softly as he got up and took a tentative step towards Linxkit. He kept his eye open for the reaction of the two she cats as he slowly moved closer.

Fallingpaw listened, watching him with intense eyes. She could tell he was hurt, and she sighed heavily. She padded up to him, her head bumping his cheek. "I know you wouldn't... Deep down I know. You just seemed so angry earlier... And they are so cute... I just want us to be like we used to be. We were so happy... Maybe we can share that with our new siblings? Please, can't we try to be happy?" She pleaded, looking at him with hopeful eyes.

A growl formed under ShadowWhisper's breath when Ignitingpaw didn't answer her question. "Well, you need to watch how you interact with others because they may perceive to something that you're not. It's wise to use your brain and think before you act." She said softly and a bit sternly as she bended down and picks up Lynxkit. She put him by the others and groomed all of her kits.

Lynxkit spat and kicked as he was picked up a second time, making a small huffing noise as he was sat down.
