Post by Purestar Mon Mar 24, 2014 12:31 pm

The huge black deputy walked into the marsh area his leader Ravenstar following. His ear twitched at the scents and sights of a lot of prey, he caught the scent of frog and instictivly lowered down. He stalked quietly forward his plush paws not making a sound, then he lunged claws outstretched and slammed a paw down on the frog pulling it in did he nip its jugular vein killing it instantly. "Your turn" he smiled at the leader the frog hanging by a leg from his mouth.

RavenStar bounded after her Deputy. "Nice catch with the slimy frogs!" She whispered before catching the rustle of a lark. Getting low did she stalk it and pounce right before it could move away. "A Lark for the best hunter in the Clan!" She said as it hung from her jaws.

"Hah! Yeah right, you couldnt catch a mouse if it jumped into your paws!" he purred good-naturedly. He crouched low and picked up the scent of pigeon, he saw the huge plump bird and stalked quietly towards it. The Pigeon caught his scent when the huge black tom was in range and flapped in the air, but it was too late. The giant tom had already lunged ahead of the bird into the air and caught the bird mid-air. He slammed down onto the bird's neck breaking it before it can make an alarm call. He picked up the big plump pigeon and twitched his whiskers "Top that" he purred in amusment.

RavenStar grind with a slight glint of mischief in her jade eyes, "Well A pigeon is nothing! If you want to see real prey the fish is the answer! " She meowed before going to the mashed area. Silver flashes moved here and there as she locked her pools on one. Staying out of sight did she dip a paw in and out with the slimy scaly fish, "I just did." She purred back before batting his ear.

"Oh yeah! I can catch a bigger one!" he taunted playfully and locked his deep emerald eyes on the silver flashes. He waited until there was a huge silver flash and he shot his paw in like lightning hooking his claws into the scales on the fish. He tugged it out and fell backwards the giant fish flopping on the ground, he bit into its spine killing it and held the fish in his jaws "Beat that Ravenstar!" he mewed his mew muffled by fish scales. "Lets go back to camp" he grabbed his prey and went back to camp.

The tom lunged through the trees and burst into where he and Ravenstar had been before to still find her here "Theres an intruder at camp!" he breathed but was cut off by the snap of a branch "Huh..?" he turned his head towards it carefully and mewed "Whose there!" suddenly there was a low growl louder than any cat. A huge tawny shape lunged from the bushes towards them "RUN!!!" he screeched and shoved his leader towards camp and only began to ran when she started to run.

The heavy kitted she cat walked though the mash, mud squshing through her paws. She looked behind her to see if Silentpaw was coming, "Coming slow poke?" RavenStar friendly joked with him.

He nodded and padded after her his soft black and ginger striped paws stepping lightly like he was told to not sink in the mud. He walked by his leader and flicked his tail around motioning to everything. He then twitched his nose to say scent anything? so far he had signals for everything. Which was good so he could communicate with everyone.

Cinder Fire walks away from the other cats. She keeps walking away until she hears a sound. She quickly turns her head and perks her ears. The object that was making the noise was a vole. The beautiful silver she-cat quietly stalks it. The vole soon sees the she-cat and tries to run away-- but sadly, the cat already caught it. Cinder buries the vole. She soon smells a bird. She looks up and sees a mother hawk with her three chicks. The she-cat quietly stalks the bird. She pauses for a few seconds and watches the mother bird look around. She makes a long jump. Her legs are stretched out and her tail is in the air. Cinder unsheaths are claws and tackles the flying bird. She grabs it and quickly gives it a killing bite. She lands on her hind legs. The she-cat buries the mother hawk. She then goes to the nest and kills the three hawk chicks. The silver cat buries them also. She says thank to Star Clan and sites by the buried preys.

Silentpaw suddenly crouched down his ears perked in the direction of a nearly covered hole. He stalked silently towards it. Suddenly he shot his paw in and pulled out a large female rabbit. He killed it swiftly with a sharp bite to the neck before diving his head in and pulling out four young rabbits. They were almost mature but were easy prey for this tom. He killed them all swiftly holding his kills with pride. It was impossible for any other cat to have heard what he heard. For what he lacked vocally, was instead replaced with keen sight and hearing. He had the best hearing in the clan which made him a deadly hunter. He suddenly, and swiftly crouched down his eyes on a large pine adder. It hissed and slithered along the trunk of the tree. He had to be quick, or it would bite him. He stalked around until he was behind it. He suddenly lunged landing on his kill. It coiled around his neck but he had already teared his teeth into the back of its neck. It tightened but then was still. The adder was huge. He picked it up and buried it with his rabbits. He sat by the river and stared intently into the icy blue waters. He saw a flash of silver and darted his paw in pulling up a large, flopping fish. He pounced on it and killed it before burying it with his other prey.

He glanced around. Even though he had good intentions, he was somewhat awkward because his lack of words. He sat down near the Shecat before making some gesture. He flicked his tail to his pile of catches then flicked his tail back to her as if saying catch anything good?

Ravenstar looked on, before long the black queen seen flashes of silver in the water. This felin loved unting fish. Seeing it was really only the eisest thing to catch did she get comfortable, belly bulging out in her sides. Before long Rav caught 3 plump fish. "This is good enough guys," The obsidian she cat yowled over to Silentpaw and Cinderfire– picking up her kill did she trot off.

"Well, nice seeing you," Cinder Fire smiles warmly. She dips her kills back up and follows RavenStar. This she-cat isn't a social type. It takes time for her to get used to other cats.

Silentpaw was definetly not a social typer either, he couldnt even talk. He picked up his kill and padded quietly after his leader. He padded alongside Cinderfire, glancing at her with his glistening yellow gaze every now and then.

The hunting grounds. This place felt a lot different from the hunting grounds that he was used to in his old clan. But in comparison, these were more challenging areas. The black Masculine feline still stayed close behind SootBlaze. He didn't think that they were going to hung down things twice, maybe at least 10 times their size. "Where are we headed to in these territories?" BlackFang asked as he continued to look at the unfamiliar sights around him.

Nodding his head, the black Masculine feline padded close behind ScootBlaze. This was his first test since his last clan he was in. His family clan never did any of that stuff, so this was the least he could ever do, and he felt proud of that. "I have to admit, I never did any of this stuff in my old clan. That's probably one of the reasons why they were so ruthless and uncaring to me. I'm glad I actually get to do something for once. If I never did anything, I don't know what I would do. It would be like I came here for nothing. But seeing as you will be teaching me the basics of fishing and hunting, I came here because of that. I actually want to be taught something". As BlackFang told his point, it made him go back in time in his mind in which the members of his clan wouldn't let him do anything, and that was one of the reasons why he left to find a better one. This clan WAS indeed a better clan. Something he never did before, now was going to get acted upon. Fishing and hunting sounded fun and exciting, just was going to get some getting used to.

They finally reached the river and Sootblaze sat down and looked into the waters. "Watch me" he instructed. He stared intently for a while until there was a flash of silver. He shot his paw in claws unsheathed and brought up a flopping fish. He pulled it to his muzzle and sank his teeth into its scaly skin and snapping its flimsy spine.
