Camp Border (Searching and patrolling)

This area is on the edge of the other clans. This is to be inspected daily to make sure no one or anything crosses the border without permission.

Waterpool padded next to the border, purring. She looked back to see if she had lost Skunkpaw.

SkunkTail finally caught up and said. "This time you beat me." He laughed and nudged her before looking around for what to do. Where to go.

Waterpool purred. She was happy, as usual. The blue gray she cat looked around. "Maybe we should just walk around, see if we see, hear, or scent anything." She said. Her purring cut off. "We should be quiet too. We can't have the creature getting the jump on us because it heard us." She whispered, then began carefully padding around.

Waterpool nodded, and began padding around silently. She took in the scent of the area every few paw steps. Eventually, the scent of a mouse hit her nose. She purred quietly, and began tracking it. After a while she found it nibbling on a seed. She got a bit closer, then pounced. She caught it underneath her, then bit it on the back, killing it. She scraped earth over it, happy to catch something. She continued, not catching anything but the stale scent of cats, and the even staler scent of the cougar. After a little while she finished patrolling, and went back to grab her mouse. She picked it up by the tail, then padded back to where Skunktail should be. As he padded up to her, he spoke, and she listened to him. "I didn't find anything besides this mouse. I guess the creature left." She said through the mouse tail. She smiled at Skunktail, being friendly.

SkunkTail smiled and nodded then said. "Ok. We should probably head back now. They'll be glad we caught some prey too!" He waited for her to lead the way.

Waterpool purred. She was starting to like Skunktail a bit more than normal. But she dismissed the feeling, before nodding in agreement, and heading off in the direction of camp.
