HawkClan Entrance

Shortpaw nodded to what she said before seeing Ignitingpaw. She hurriedly hobbled over to him before speaking. "Hey i just wanted to say im sorry about your father. Starclan will care for him, i promise" she said in sympathy.

Briarpaw looks at the two cats. She flicks her tail and blinks her eyes. She soon gets bored of watching the two cats and starts to groom herself.

"Life, death, all work in mystical ways Ignitingpaw, your father's path is in Starclans paws. They decide whether its his time or not. But, i hope they see soon that it isnt his time. ShadowWhisper, you, Fallingpaw, they need him. His clan needs him. We just need to ask Starclan to bring him back to us" she said before wrapping her tail around her wide-spread paws.

Briarpaw walks up to the two apprentices. "He's a good warrior and my mentor... He is also your father..." She flicks her tail and narrows her eyes at Ignitingpaw. "That's why you respect your father because if he dies, you will feel guilty." She sits down and sighs. "I hope he doesn't die..."

MistyKit stumbled towards BriarPaw and lifts his head. "He won't die, right? SilverBrook can fix him, can't he?" He meowed, his head tilted to the side and his misty eyes troubled.

Briarpaw looks at the kit. "I'm not sure, it's up to Star Clan. And Silverbrook can only do soo much..." She sighs again and perks her ears.

MistyKit's blind gaze shifted to his paws, and he meowed, "I hope he lives..." He mewed, before stumbling back to the nursery to sleep.

Shortpaw nodded at what Mistykit had said "Dont we all?" she sighed glancing back at Briarpaw.

Ignitingpaw chuckled to himself, "death or life, I don't care! StarClan has taken my mom and more likely my father? How in a fox hearted way am i to handle that?" He say, jerking his chin to the entrance to the medicine cat den, " if he does die I will get my exact vengeance upon the couger, even if it kills me." He bared his teeth as he spoke in a dry snarle.Green eyes burning with renewing energy.

Mistykit heard the raging apprentice from outside the den where he laid. His ears flattened against his head at the mention of 'death' and 'cougar'. He asked out loud, not knowing if a cat was nearby or not, "What's a cougar?"

Briarpaw looks at Ignitingpaw. She does nothing but stares at him for a brief moment. She does faces Mistykit. "A cougar is a tawny large, cat with powerful legs." She pricks her ears.

"Killing yourself will not bring your father back, Ignitingpaw" Shortpaw said her eyes narrowed.

"But you will end up in Star Clan with him." Briarpaw looks at Shortpaw. She flicks her tail and then looks at Ignitingpaw.

Ignitingpaw just looked on. He had nothing more to say only having the company of his unbearable pain that froze his blood and raked his bones. He seemed surprisingly calm but it was all this fat lie. He blinked slowly as the flash backed of his black furred mother and black and white pelted father. He remembered the stories they would tell him and fallen, he stifled a joyful depressed moan. His life was pathtic nothing to live for but his sister that he hasn't seen in days. So bittersweet the world was, life to be more exact. His mind decided to go down memory lain. There for hegot up and walked back to the apprentice den.

Briarpaw watches Ignitingpaw leave. She doesn't show any emotion. She sighs and turns her head to lick her back. She then looks at Shortpaw and Mistykit.

Ashpelt would then pad from the warriors den, sniffing the air. He smelt blood and his eyes streaked toward the trail of blood that led to the medicine den. He instantly knew it was lurkingflame and he sighed with a growl-"That cougars mine"

Shortpaw buried her muzzle in he mentors chest "I want that cougar'a head on a stick and hanging over the camp" she suddenly growled "It won't get away with Lurkingflame's death!" She declared in anger.

FlamingGlare strode into camp carring an rabbit. His dark amber eyes weren't as light and playful. He was still mourning LurkingFlames death. Dropping off his kill did he yowl out for Brairpaw and Fallingpaw to go train.

As soon as he had heard the words 'Lurkingflame' and 'Death" his eyes went to his apprentice before he growls. He was tired of being soft on anyone or anything.-"Get off of me and handle your own sadness Shortpaw."-he took a step back and growled padding to flaminglare with a growl of anger-"Where is the cougar."-he said, earslaid back, shoulders haunched-

FlamingGlare looked at Ashpelt, eyes hidden with any emotion. "I don't know? I wasn't out there when it showed up but it already tasted cat blood so its going to come back. And it wouldn't be a great idea to run off and get yourself killed since your a mentor and deputy. Don't make hasty dicisions. We'll get our vengeance." He said calmly as he looked back at Shortpaw, shaking his head before he looked back at Ashpelt.

The tom would look up at the other warrior bfore sighing quickly. He would shake his head trying to clear himself of thoughts.-"Yes, of course."-he said softly before he glances around. He went to the center of the camp and his voice rang out with authority.-"Time for a border patrol. I will have one patrol go out. Flaminglare, I need you to take all the apprentices to the training area. Teach them basic defense. If you need another warrior to help, ask them yourself."-he looks around the camp for a warrior to lead a border patrol. He sighs softly, his deputyship was hard, his thoughts and decision making was blurry.-"Who would like to lead the border patrol?"

FlamingGlare nodded before yowling to the apprentices. Ushering them out the camp.

He would wait for some warrior to want to lead the patrol. He would sighs softly before he looks around-"Shadowhisper. You will lead the border patrol, grab a warrior or two. I'll go with flaminglare to train the apprentices."-he said softly before heading out after flaminglare-

Shortpaw was quiet, and followed her mentor when he padded out of camp with the other apprentices.
