AmberStar's Den

AmberStar trots inside her den. Before she reaches her nest, she pauses. The moss reminds her of the time when she had to care for the elders in her clan. She had to fetch moss almost every two days just to suite the grumpy elders! What a pain! AmberStar quickly gets out of her trance when a bird made a noise right outside of the den. She quickly blinks her eyes and trots inside of her nest. She neatly tucks her front legs under her chest. She begins to fall asleep.

"You asked to see me Amberstar?"-a heavy voice said as her deputy entered her den. His amber gaze seen through the darkness of her den. He would pause in front of her and bows his head before looking at her gaze-

AmberStar gets up and stretches before she walks to Ashpelt. "Many cats are saying that you're doing outrageous things, are these things true?" She flicks her tail and perks her ears. She hopes that she can trust her own deputy.

"Outragious? I believe these 'cats' have been telling you fibs or just made up lies."-he said with a soft laugh as he stays standing, his fur groomed to perfection. He looked as if all the blood was gone from his body-

"Hmm... very well. I'll see who did what when I find out. You better not be the one who did those 'outrageous things'. You know there would be consequences." AmberStar spoke softly. "I remember what happened at the gathering. You know that made me furious."

"The gathering was nothing but amother deputy crossing he line."-he said meaning sootblaze. His gaze would leave hers as he turned and started to pad out-

AmberStar narrows her eyes. "Wait!" She walks to the entrance of her den and blocks his way. "I can trust you, right?"

The question did take the deputy by surprise but his face showed nothing but laughter.-"Amberstar, you don't need to ask me who you trust. Trust is about who you believe in and who you don't. If this is about FlamingGlare's words, believe who you want. It's not my job to tell you how to lead."

"Can I trust you or not? You are my deputy and you need to be trusted. Yes or no? And I'm on my side and I would believe who I want to believe as a clan leader." AmberStar's eyes are filled with seriousness. She flicks her tail and perks her ears.

"Like is said Amberstar. You trust who you want."-he said getting irritated by the 'broken record' question she was asking-"I'm going to the warriors den."-he said softly before he pads past her and out of the den-

AmberStar growls loudly and shoves him out of the den. She is enraged at her deputy now. All she needs is rest. She then walks to her nest and curls herself up. Why is he avoiding the question? Were the warriors telling the truth? Can I really trust him? She looks at the exit of her den and thinks. Oh I will trust who I want alright... Never betray the fire especially Amber...

The deputy would peak his head in from outside of her den and loudly but surely state his precense and buissness to be in her den.-"Amberstar. I have come to replace your bedding and such."-he said sofly, he still had his punishments to finish and her den was his last stop-

AmberStar gets off of her bedding to address Ashpelt. She walks to him and flicks her tail. "Come in and do it quickly." She nods her head and sits next to the entrance.

He nods his head and quickly pads toward he nest of his leader. He would hook his claw in the bedding and drag it from the nest itself and place it beside him. He would lower himself and roll on his back making the bedding that was hanging off his back roll off. He would expertly place it in her nest and chek it again for burrs and stuff before sighing-"Is that good enough Amberstar?"

"Yes it is, you may go now." AmberStar says and nods her head. She stands up and sits on her bedding.

He nods his head and makes his way to the entrance, his tail swishing behind him as usual. He would exit the den without a sound-

AmberStar watches him leave in silence. She nods her head and blinks her eyes before she curls up on her bedding.
