The HABIT's House

Dread's cries were now whimpers, her blood continuing to pool down into the pots. "...It...H...Urts..." she whimpered softly. "I know it does, its supposed to. Thats part of the process" he said and suddenly cut the ropes bounding her down. It took her a moment to realize she was unbound now. HABIT jumped down, and soon after the kit tumbled off the table in her weak panic. "Go" he said and gestured with his paw towards the door. Without any hesitation she weakly made her way towards the door. She was now in view of Toby, Sorrow, and Baxter. She saw them and made her way as fast as she could over to them "Toby--" she was cut off when she felt a sharp, agonizing pain jab through her back. She let out a soft gasp of air, and looked down to see the tip of a blade protruding from her chest. She looked up once more, before she collapsed to the ground, her breath hitching and fast as she tried to breathe. There behind her, stood HABIT, a dark grin on his face. He flicked his paw and suddenly the door swung open and he vanished. The kit lay there gasping, HABIT's machete lodged through her shoulder blades and out her chest.

Baxters eyes widened "D-dread..." he ran towards her "Shit shit shit shit shit! shes going to die!"

Her gaze was completely dazed, blood gushing from her esophagus. Toby lunged over "Shit! What do we do?" he gasped and crouched down next to the kit. He wrapped his paws around her and attempted to pick her up. She softly cried, blood spilling heavily from where the machete protruded and where it entered. "You said.. Y..ou.. Would... Protec..t... M..e.." she gasped softly her eyes meeting his. "I know i know, and im going to. We're gonna get you fixed up, you hear? You're going to be just fine" he said in persitence. Her gaze seemed to go more and more fuzzier with each moment, her breath slowing. "Hey! Hey, stay with me you hear?" he said and slightly shook her to keep her conscious. "Dread?" he whispered, seeing the kits head droop to the side. His eyes watered "D-Dread?" he whispered once more softly. "N-No..." he gasped, tears threatening to drip from his gray eyes.

"n-no..." he whimpered tears forming in his eyes 'w-why...why...why" he ears drooped down,sobs and whimpers coming from the usually calm and flirty cat

Her body became limp, her head drooping in Toby's arms. "M..Maybe shes just sleeping" Toby whispered, tears dripping down his eyes making him move his goggles.

"Shes...not sleeping Toby....you know that...." tears dripped down his face,staring at the dead kit "she reminded me of BEN...before I killed him...it feels like it just happened all over again..."

"God damnit..." he said in a hushed voice, and refused to let go of the dead kit. He clutched her close. "I... Cant feel her heartbeat..." he said softly, tears dripping down his cheeks. Sorrow watched all of this. Her heart felt completely crushed, too sad to be able to cry. Toby held her closer and let the tears flow heavier. "I shouldve protected her better" he whispered.

"y-you did fine,as did I-I" he sighed sitting next to Toby,"HABIT...hes said she was his daughter...."

"We cant just leave her here" he said between shaky breaths. "What do we do?" he asked softly, not breaking eye contact with the kit's dazed eyes. He couldnt look away, couldnt stop thinking about her last words. His heart was completely shattered in sorrow. What they didnt know was HABIT watched all of this from the shadows.

"Give her a burial...its all we can do I guess...its not much...but..." He sighed

"I guess... Lets just do what we can" he said and shook his head. "Im...Im going to miss the little kid..." he said softly.

"me too..." Baxter sighed and looked around walking over to a nice spot of dirt

Sorrow followed them quietly, not saying anything. Toby carried the kit carefully and followed Baxter. HABIT followed them in the shadows, his hard icy blue gaze filled with pride at his work. Everything was going according to plan.

Vaermina laid in the bed through all of this. She thought about going to see the kit, but then she had heard something bang on a window so she just lay and listen to the cries and voices. "Damnit, I didn't get to see her." she sighed softly before quietly trying to sneak out of the house, possibly somewhere where there were no proxies. Yet she couldn't help trying to get a glimpse of the kit.

he started to dig in the dirt,wimpering,after a few minutes he had a 3 feet deep hole the size for the kit and he walked away,picking up a red rose

Toby laid the kit down, and tugged the machete from her body. He brushed her eyelids down so her eyes closed. "Goodbye i guess..." Toby said softly. He turned around  to help Baxter with the hole, making the kit exposed in full view. She had long fluffy fur just like HABIT, but her pelt was odd. She had dark ginger fur with black tabby stripes and large white patches everywhere.

Vaermina just got a glimpse of the kit, but that was all she needed, she looked for somewhere to hide, at the moment she was in plain sight, and she didn't like that.

HABIT suddenly lashes out a paw and pulled Vaermina into the shadows. "Shh, good parts coming" he sad softly. It was a long moment before Dread sucked in a long breath, her eyes slowly opening again. One eye was a bright pale amber, and the other was a hard icy blue, just like HABIT's. She let out a soft cry of pain and clutched her gushing chest. Toby turned around quickly, his eyes widening behind the amber-lensed goggles he wore. "T..o...b...y..?" she choked out. "Baxter!" he called to the tom and rushed over to the kit. This was impossible. Her heart stopped beating. She died ten minutes ago!

Vaermina almost screamed as a cat grabbed her, before realizing it was Habit. She listened then watched what happened, she was rather surprised but then realized that she had already knew that the kit wouldn't die, completely at least.

The kits blood had turned purple and was leaking heavier now. She felt icy cold from head to toe. She let out a raspy cough and shuddered, her teeth chattering. "Whats... Happ..eni..ng..?" she whimpered. She continued to cough. "It hurts..." she cried "Make it stop..." she sobbed. Toby wrapped a paw around the kit carefully. "Just breathe kid ok? We'll get you to the others, i have some bandages back at the Hospital remember? We wrapped them around your arms. I helped you then and ill help you now" he said reassuringly and went to pick the kit up. "No!" she said suddenly "I cant! I.. Im not supposed to leave here" she said. "What do you mean? Y-you'll die here Dread!" Toby pleaded. "I cant... Im not supposed to leave.. Im not supposed to leave..." she repeated. Voices swarmed in her mind, echoing through her skull.

he stared wide eyed,how was the kit alive!? "If she doesn't want to leave someone has to get the bandages"

Toby began unwrapping the bandages he had wrapped around his own wound. "We'll use these" he said and began wrapping the bandages over her wounds. "Shit. This is bad. Her blood is purple Baxter!" he said as he wrapped the bandages around her. His own wound began bleeding heavily once more, but he didnt even noticed because he couldnt even feel it anyway.

"Shit....." he growled his eyes seemed...glazed over,practicly glowly,a wide smirk on his face,though he did feel sad,one thing kept that smirk there HABIT...I officially hate you

"See? You're all tied and tressed now" he said and tied the end to keep the bandage firmly in place. It was physically impossible for her to be alive, the machete had pierced through her heart. lets not look at a gift horse under a microscope, Toby... he told himself and began working on her deep wrist wounds.

Baxter however was thinking, connecting the dots, Could HABIT have done this? is she like HABIT now,more than before? what might happen later? sure shes fine now, but that can change
