Boneclaw training Silentpaw

The small calico apprentice slowly opened his eyes, his vision blurred a bit still. He saw his mentor lifeless in the jaws of that... Creature and got quickly to his paws. He hurled in rage his jaws wide and his claws gleaming. His claws struck the creatures muzzle and tore down making it screech and drop his mentor. He sank his teeth into its right eye, the thing screeched loud in what could only be agony and shook the apprentice off. He turned and fled towards Eagleclan territory. Silentpaw let out a gasp and crouched next to his mentor. He nudged him and cowered in sorrow hoping he was ok.

Boneclaw snapped his eyes open when the creature dropped him. He watched as Silentpaw attacked the creature making it flee. He took in a ragged breath, looking at the mute apprentice with pride. "Good... Job. I'm... Proud of... You." He coughed. The ground turned red beneath him as he was no longer a white cat, but a bright red one. He coughed again, blood spilling out of his jaws. The tom struggled to his feet, checking for anything broken. He gasped as he put his back right leg on the ground. It was completely snapped. "Let's, get back... to camp." He breathed, and began walking on three legs home.

The apprentices eyes widened in shock at his mentors state. He carefully pushed up against his mentor so he may lean on him. He took his mentors weight easily and walked towards camp, he himself had ragged breathing and a bone was jutting out of his flank from a fractured rib. Blood dripped from his nose and the side of his mouth but he perceviered on with all his might so his mentor was ok.

Boneclaw forced a smile, his vision growing blacker. It wouldn't be long before the cat fell, and passed out. He focused on putting one paw after the other, sometimes stumbling. He was grateful for the help of Silentpaw. He stopped occasionally due to a coughing fit. Just before they made it back to camp, the now red tom looked back, noticing the red trail that led straight to camp.

Silentpaws left paw looked crooked, and he winced hard with every step but wouldnt give up on his mentor. Boneclaw had to live, even if Silentpaw payed the price.
