HawkClan Entrance

ShadowWhisper smiles warmly at the cats chatting. She is glad to see cats communicating in a friendly way. She hopes it stays that way.

As she watched him pad away she thought to herself quietly i wonder if he'll be my mentor! when she padded out from behind the den she noticed the Shecat who stood up for her. She gave a nod of appreciation and a soft, sweet smile.

ShadowWhisper looks down at the short kit. She blinks her eyes and returns the smile. "Hello, my name is ShadowWhisper. Welcome to the Hawk Clan," she says. She curls her tail and perks her ears. Shadow waits for the kit to respond.

"Hi" she replied shyly her gorgeous pale hazel green eyes shining. "Im Shortkit, im supposed to be an apprentice today, but Pinestar hasnt said anything about my ceremony" she said in complete dissapointment. Where was the brown tabby?

The tom stood on the opposite side of camp, licking his paws and bringing it over his ears. His eyes were closed int he process as most cats did while they groomed. He yawned and stopped gromming looking up at silverpelt-"Is this who I am...."-he said as he lays down on his side facing the camp wall-

Shortkit looked up at silverpelt in complete sorrow. I cant beleive Pinestar forgot my ceremony! she thought letting out a quiet sigh. Her ears drooped and her shoulders sagged glumly.

The tom would sigh softly as he faced the camp wall. Whispering to himself, no, not whispering, praying. He was praying to his ancestors for someone to like him. He didn't want to end up like the elders who were only warrior and never anything else.-"Mouse-brain"-he whispered at the endof his prayer-

She then let out a small gasp and thought what if he isn't doing a ceremony because I'm not going to be a warrior! It's probably because I'm so short, he doesn't want a short warrior! she turned and looked around the camp.

The tom sighs as he stands, huffing as he did and yawned stretching out.-"Where's pinestar?"-he says looking around the camp in search of the leader who had been his mentor. No one knew his arrogance like pinestar did-

She hobbled over to Ashpelt. "Have you seen Pinestar? My apprentice ceremony was today!" She meowed in worry.

The warrior shook his head as he stares over at the small munchkin-"Well, no I haven't."-he smiles softly and sighs-"Who wouldyou want as your mentor?"

"I was really hoping you would be my mentor!" She said looking up at the tall warrior.

The warrior's throat seemed to get caught once as he tried to respond to her. He sighed and coughed-"Me? Why?'-he asked softly as he looks down at the munchkin-

"You understand me and your a great warrior and I thought that... If I was like you... Cats would see that all because I have short legs, I'm still a good warrior" she said quietly and glanced down at her white and pale ginger splashed paws.

He finally understood that his arrogance was only hisproblem. Noone elses.-"Shortkit, my arrogance has been a obstacle that I have avoided but cannot overcome. That has never stopped me from being a good warrior. I was pinestar's apprentice and I turned out like this."

"Exactly, I look a you and understand that your struggling with your arrogance, while I'm struggling with my short legs.." She trailed off letting out a sigh "You probably don't want me as your apprentice anyway, no one will" she muttered "Pinestar FORGOT my ceremony, that's the proof" she whispered quietly.

He sighed softly with a growl. He had just lost it.-"Listen to me right now!!!"-he slammed his front paw ont he ground and meowed deeply-"If pinestar makes you my apprentice, I will teach you what he taught me"

"You sound like its a bad thing, the reason for your arrogance is knowing what your made of and looking at others and automatically noticing how you are better" she said in her usual quiet tone staring into the toms eyes and not flinching.

"My arrogance is my downfall and will be."-he sighs softly as he smiles at her-"He won't forget"

"Of course, but that wont stop me from becoming your apprentice. I will speak out in my ceremony if i ever have one" she said continuing to gaze at the tom.

He sighs-"No smallkit. You shall not back talk to your leader."-he said softly as he stretched-"If the ceremony doesn't happen. I will teach you crouching early tomorrow. Even if i'm not your mentor"

Shortkit nodded in agreement her eyes sparkling with excitment at the mention of training tomorrow "Really! Thank you Ashpelt!!" she meowed in giddyness.

Ashpelt offers a smile as he thinks of something to speak of.-"You hear of the thrush I caught?"-he says softly as he stares at her-

"Yeah, and i heard ShadowWhisper and Lurkingflame talking to each other" her whiskers twitched "Its funny" she laughed

He smiled-"Me and shadowhsiper don't get along to well."-he says softly with a laugh-
