The Medicine Den

Briarpaw didn't say anything at all. She just nods and dashes right after him.

-Tall Hill-

"Im sorry..." she murmered. She was scared, she never had nightmares like that. They were never so vivid and it terrified her. She was just panicked which is what caused her to say that.

SilverBrook watched as the cats left the den. He looked down at ShortPaw in concern and he meowed, "Would you like me to give you some thyme to calm you down? You seem very nervous." He said, tilting his head to the side.

"Im ok...." she murmered and got up, padding towards the mouth of the medicine cat's den her head low.

"Shortpaw, look I know how you feel I had terrifying nightmares from a kit till now. Find the meaning and then will the be less scary." FlamingGlare called out to her as she walked out.

She nodded glancing back towards FlamingGlare as she left. Her paws whispered over the ground, not making a sound.

SilverBrook watched the kit with worried eyes, before he went back to sorting herbs in boredom. His tail flicked back and forth as he decided which herbs were useful and which herbs weren't.

Shimmerheart walked into her brother's den "Hey, brook! Need some help sorting out those herbs?" she asked politely in greeting.

SilverBrook lifted his head and turned around, smiling as he saw his silver colored sibling. "Hey Shimmer! Yes, I could use some help. A lot of these herbs are old and dried out, so they have no use. Except for dried oak leaves... They're very useful. But see these ones that are all withering away?" He meowed, nodding to a pile of dried, withered herbs. "They'll fall apart here pretty quick, and have already lost their healing abilities. Just sort out dried, dead ones from the healthy ones." He meowed, flicking his tail in pleasure. "Where were you and ShadowStorm for all this time? So much happened. Did you hear about LurkingFlame?" He asked, looking at his older sister.

FlamingGlare got up before interrupting, "uh.. Excuse me can I got back to my warrior dutys?" the handsome tom asked as he waited for a reply.

Shadowstorm entered and nodded to Flamingglare "We'll take it from here, thank you" the large stormy hued warrior said. "What about Lurkingflame?" he asked in curiosity before sitting down.

SilverBrook perked his ears as he heard his brother. "Oh! There you are. And about LurkingFlame... He was unfortunately killed by a cougar... Also, AshPelt had turned traitor and attacked his apprentice, ShortPaw." He meowed, his minty eyes hardening in anger towards the deputy.

FlamingGlare snorted before asking again, "may I leave? I would like to sleep in my own den and keep an eye on Shortpaw and Ashpelt. And should I becoming back for you to check on my wounds?" the dark golden brown tom asked again as he looked at the entrance.

"Sounds like the clan's having a rough season then.. I'm sorry about Lurkingflame." the she cat listened to the rest of what her brother had to say before anger flared up in her eyes "What!? That mouse-brained piece of foxdung! What's Amberstar doing about this?!" she felt like clawing some cat's ears off.

Shadowstorms eyes widened "What? You dont attack your own apprentice! Apprentices dont deserve to be treated like that!" he roared his eyes narrowed in anger.

SilverBrook looked back at FlamingGlare, "Oh, sorry! Yes, you may leave. And your wounds will be fine as long as you don't run around too much." He then shook his head slowly. "I'm hoping AmberStar will exile him. If he's going to hurt an innocent apprentice, he doesn't belong here." The tom growled, ears flattening.

FlamingGlare got up and walked out of the med den.

"Thats outragous... Amberstar should know that the right thing to do here is exile him!" he said, sitting next to his siblings.

SilverBrook nodded in agreement. "I thought the deputy would know better!" He growled, lashing his tail in rage.

"I agree, there's no place here for a cat who hurts his own apprentice. I'd get him out as soon as possible before he hurts someone else or makes life for the clan worse." the silver she cat stated.

Shadowstorm nodded "But we cant really do anything about it honestly, though i wish we could. We just have to wait until Amberstar comes to the realization that hes not a safe cat to have around" he sighed.

SilverBrook sighed. "Unfortunately so. But we can both hope that he will get exiled." The tabby said, sorting through the herbs.

"Yeah... In the mean time lets do something productive ok?" he said "Can i help you with anything, Silverbrook?" he asked.

Ignitingpaw barged into the den he stopped suddenly as his green gaze traced the den. He sighed as he spoke in a shaky voice, "Shortpaw fainted and she needs your help," he said bluntly as if he didn't care. All he wanted to do was get out of here as fast as he could.

"What?" Shadowstorm jumped to his paws "I better go see to her, come on Silverbrook!" he called as he dashed out.
