The Medicine Den

Fallingpaw growled. "Then tell Starclan that I hate them! I never want to hear anything about them again!" She hissed. She only stayed because Shortpaw was the messenger, and Shortpaw was her friend.

"He is needed to drag him to the forest of laminations and shadows" she said eerily.

Briarpaw widens her eyes when she hears "Lurkingflame". "My... mentor is speaking to you...?"She looks down and sighs. "I miss him..."

"He speaks to the cat who is broken from the ambitions of a tom who shouldn't still be here. Starclan is upset, and chose to reach out" her voice echoed.

"Thank StarClan, we don't need an evil cat in our clan." Briarpaw sighs and closes her eyes.

SilverBrook listened to the cats from the corner of the den as he sorted through herbs. He kept his mouth shut as they talked.

"When the time comes, his blood shall be on my paws, and my blood shall be on his. And the clans shall rejoice that the treachery is over" she said, and lied down.

"Yeah, but at the same time... you won't be living here anymore..." Briarpaw looks down at her paws and sighs.

"Thats a price a warrior pays to keep its clan safe" she murmured.

"I know that! I'm not stupid!" Briarpaw snaps and glares at Shortpaw. She then quickly apologizes and sighs. "The clan shall honor your bravery."

Shortpaw shrank back when Briarpaw snapped at her. She didn't like confrontation at all. It wasn't good for her mental state currently and could cause another melt down.

Fallingkit looked flustered. She was scared, sad, horrified, and angry all at once. She laid her tail on Shortpaw in a comforting gesture. She was again laying on the ground, taking deep breaths so she didn't snap again.

Briarpaw sighs again before she leans on the den wall. She slowly blinks her eyes and watches her two friends.

"You have to not worry, Lurkingflame is helping us all. He said not to grieve" she said quietly.

"I know... I know." Briarpaw quietly answers. She yawns and lays down. She is still watching her two companions.

"He is still here, he's sitting right next to me. He said he's so, so proud of you both" she murmured "I wasn't staring at nothing, i was looking at him when he was speaking to me" she said.

Fallingpaw looked next to Shortpaw, narrowing her eyes. "I hate you and Starclan. If you were proud of us, you should visit us." She said under her breath, still staring at the spot indicated by Shortpaw.

Shortpaw let out a gasp her eyes widening as she took in a long breath. Her eyes suddenly flashed a pale, sulfur yellow. "I can't just 'visit' you all the time, you have to learn to grow up sometime. Im not always going to be here to catch you when you fall, my daughter. Hate me all you want, i might not be seen, but that doesn't mean I'm not there" Shortpaw said, her voice very, very deep.

Briarpaw flinches when she sees and hears Shortpaw. She slowly stalks towards her and nudges her shoulder. "Lurkingflame, is that you?"

"Starclan helps cats in need, not people who miss love ones. I wish i could always visit, Fallingpaw, but i can't" he said "Yes, it is me"

(Lol people?)

"Wow..." Briarpaw sits down and looks at Shortpaw. "So... how are you doing in StarClan?"

"Well its Starclan" he replied.

Briarpaw doesn't respond to him anymore. She leans on the den wall. The memories of her apprentice training with Lurkingflame are running in her mind.

Suddenly Shortpaw let out a long breath her eyes fading to hazel again. She collapsed onto her side, just as she did ealier in the clearing. Lurkingflame had spoke inside Shortpaw before.

Briarpaw runs to Shortpaw. "Are you okay? Do I need to do anything for you?" She flicks her tail and pricks her ears.
