The Medicine Den

FlamingGlare looked at Shortpaw, "you okay? Bad dream" he whispered softly though not looking at the creamy white apprentice.

Shortpaw nodded slowly, the dream still flashing before her eyes. Ashpelt looked older and she herself was bigger and taller, well, as tall as she could get. "A... confusing, but terrifying dream" she said slowly, her eyes staring straight at nothing.

"what was it about?" Flame didn't take his gaze from the moon. He was waiting for something, he always did it when he was little. The tom waited for an answer from his parents that hunted in StarClan.

"Ashpelt and i were fighting, and he lunged at me. I ducked under and lifted up my paw, slicing his chest and stomach open... But at the same time his claws met my throat, and tore it out... we had killed each other at the same time" she said, leaving out the part where Ashpelt and her were older.

"Why do you think you had this dream? What are you trying to tell yourself?" he asked softly finally breaking his gaze to look at Shortpaw.

"I.. It didnt feel like a dream! it felt real..!" she protested.

"And? Dreams are very mysterious... They feel, look, and taste real. They sometimes show us something that we're not aware of or StarClan is speaking to you." FlamingGlare said as he shifted into a better position, "what did it feel like? Where you paying close attention to the theme?" The tom asked as he look on at her.

"I... felt... Angry! I enjoyed killing him.. its like i didnt notice my own pain... I only felt joy and relief when my claws met his stomach..." she said her voice shaking.

"I would love to do that but violence doesn't solve anything. I know I can only do little to help you so I'll try my best but your going to have to figure this out by yourself." glory said as he lay his head down on his head.

"But i would never ever want to kill another cat! that isnt me i swear! I didnt dream of it because i wanted it, it was something else!" she continued to protest, panic in her voice at the thought of him thinking she actually wanted that.

Briarpaw purrs when Frostfang licks her ear. She curls her long tail around him and starts to lick her long legs.

"I dont know what it was about, but that wasnt a normal dream..." she said her voice dropping at the end.

Briarpaw looks at Shortpaw. She doesn't know what she's talking about, so she doesn't say anything. She continues to groom herself.

Frostfang brushed Briarpaw's cheek with his tail while he listened in on the conversation. "Maybe it's a flash-forward or something.." he piped up.

Briarpaw smiles at Frostfang and licks his ear. She then plays with his tail. She bats at it and then bites it softly afterward

Frostfang flicked his ear after it was licked, it felt nice but kind of odd. He slipped his tail away, smileing and poked Briarpaw in the nose.

"Calm down! I didn't say you enjoyed" and honestly I don't care I take no offense to your sleeping mind." glare said in a harsh voice before quieting his voice.

Briarpaw chuckles and her eyes fills with amusement. She reaches over and pokes his nose also. She then licks her front paws and then lays her head on them.

Frostfang shakes his head and sneezes before laying his tail over her back.

Briarpaw looks at his tail and smirks. She bats at it again and smiles in happiness. She likes to play, and that is what she does.

Frostfang smiled even bigger and lifted his tail up higher asking "Why are we still in the Medicine cat's den?"

"I was helping ShadowWhisper looking over Shortpaw and FlamingGlare. Well, at this point, I don't know. It's midnight, and I'm not tired-- I already took a nap earlier. I don't know what to do now-- except play with your tail." Briarpaw leaps up to bat at his tail again.

Frostfang laughed "Well, if you'd like we could stretch out our legs and go out for a little night hunting. Or even just a run.." he kept his tail up.

"Sure, I'm sure AmberStar will be satisfied!" Briarpaw quickly stands up. She flicks her tail and jumps up and down.

Frostfang stands "We live to serve!" he said rather loudly before bolting out of the den and to Tall Hill.
